Our Padlock Red is a sophisticated, well-balanced bordeaux-style blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Petit Verdot. Rich in lingering dark fruit with lovely tannins and a silky finish.

2008 Late Harvest Tannat
Our 2008 Late Harvest Tannat is a one-of-kind wine that truly speaks for itself. No wine language can so eloquently express the powerful elegance of this wine. The result of superb viticulture, patience, and discipline for harvest timing and sound winemaking, this subtly sweet Tannat blatantly expresses the underestimated potential of red wine in Virginia. Natural sugar accumulation, during ripening, reaches a level beyond the capacity of a natural yeast fermentation, resulting in a wine with 18% alcohol and a slightly perceptible sweetness. While reminiscent of a Port style, our Late Harvest Tannat is not fortified with brandy. Tannat at its most obvious, you will be convinced, as we are, that Tannat is a grape to bring greatness to Virginia. (Reserve Wine)

2008 Buddy’s Bistro Red
Fashioned as an easy drinking bistro variety, Buddy's Bistro Red is named in dedication of our winery mascot and beloved family pet, pictured on the label. Each vintage, Buddy selects a charitable animal organization in the local community to support and donates one dollar for every bottle sold. Ligh in body and tannins, this single varietal Cabernet Franc, is a Pinot Noir style wine with ripe red fruit and an easy smooth peppery finish. (only 3 cases left)

A premier selection of the finest barrels in the 2007 vintage. This wine brilliantly expresses the varietal character of the Chardonnay grape in the elegant style of classic Virginia Chardonnay, and goes on to generously, but respectfully, integrate the structural and flavor influence acquired from being aged for 10 months in 100% new French Oak barrels.
